Start the fairy tale project.
Final project should have 5 paragraphs (one per page) and each page should include an illustration (original drawing). You will also need a title page with illustration. Look at children’s fairy tales such as Cinderella or Little Red Riding Hood for inspiration.
I will be putting all fairy tales in a digital book that will be sent to your parents (with permission) in PDF-form at the beginning of the summer. Please only use your first name on the project, as copy will also be placed in the school library for others to read.

The following are nine examples of fairy tales that my former students have created. The selected stories are used with permission of the creator/s, their parents or from books published by me for viewing in the public library. Please note that not all classes had the exact assignment (some students have worked alone and others in groups) and some of the copies below are from copies I made.
My recommendation is to choose the story Cinderella (Aschenputtel) or Little Red Riding Hood (Rotkäppchen). If you would like to use a different fairy tale please speak with me about it before you begin.
All stories were created by students who have English as an an additional language. All stories were originally in color. There are mistakes in each of the examples. This is okay, as the students were learning English when they created their stories.
